Tuesday 9 AM - REFORMER II-III with Susie:
Get your mojo going and your ya ya’s out. This faster paced deep core class challenges you with more intricate combinations of movements and you’ll strengthen and stretch everrything. Strong core work based on the Fletcher method to keep the body strong, balanced, and aligned properly. Class max is 4 persons.
Wednesday 10 AM - FOR YOUR BONES: a FLOOR/ MAT/SPRINGBOARD CLASS with Susie:
Most of us are challenged in our lifespan to keep our structure strong. This class has a bone building focus for you who contend with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. You’ll experience the deep core work of Pilates to strengthen your lower and upper structure through controlled resistance work of the springs. Mat exercises are adjusted taking out weighted spinal flexion to learn how to strengthen and stretch your structure given the osteoporosis and osteopenia condition. Class will work with movement materials from Pilates Mat, Floor work patterns, plus use the Springboard wall for lots of leg, torso, and shoulder girdle strengthening. A good class for movers who want more breakdown of material. Class always geared to level of people in the class. Class max is 5 persons.
Thursday 9 AM - REFORMER I-II with Susie:
A class to dig into the push and pull of the Reformer. Work from your inside-out and top to bottom in movement sequences such as Footwork, the Abdominal Series, Back Extension, Pelvic Press, Seated or Kneeling Arm Work, Mat on the Reformer, Legs in Strap Series, Short Spine, Box Work, Running. Modifications given for individuals with joint/muscular issues. Class limited to 4.
Friday 9 AM - BODY INTEGRATION THROUGH STRENGTH AND STRETCH with Barb:
Using floor work, barre concepts, and small apparatus, you will work to open and release your tight compressed body areas. Fascial release and theraband exercises will help your strength, flexibility and balance. Your motion will become more fluid, your joints will be more open. A plus is that you will strengthen everything.
Other classes we have offered in other sessions:
SPRINGBOARD I: You will experience basic core work that engages all of you. While labeled basic, this class is equally challenging for experienced movers, building your skills for stability, strength, and flexibility. You’ll be challenged with use of the roll down bar, leg and arm springs, moon boxes, and the push through bar. Some Pilates Floor and Mat work included. Modifications available if needed for all exercises. Class limited to 5
SPRINGBOARD II PUSH: This is a faster-paced class that explores Intermediate/Advanced material in expanded combinations of the Pilates vocabulary. This class is for those who have taken a number of Springboard I or Reformer I classes, and perform the basics comfortably. You will feel deep core work with the Roll Down Series, Leg Springs, Short Spine, Mermaid, Teaser Series, Hamstring Pull, Squats, and Arm Strength Series. Some Pilates Floor and Mat work included. Class limited to 5.
MAT STRENGTH AND STRETCH FLOW: Moving from center! A class for all levels. Flow with music through Mat and Floor exercises. You’ll feel great stretch, strength, and breath experiences connecting into your spine and opening your joints. Small apparatus such as rollers, magic circles and bands will help you get deeply into the material. Modifications available. Class limited to 5.
REFORMER I:
REFORMER II PUSH: Intermediate/Advanced material in a faster-paced class. You will find less instruction and more go-go-go in this class. You will experience expanded combinations of the Pilates vocabulary. If you’ve taken Springboard, Pilates Mat, or other Reformer experiences elsewhere, you have the prerequisite understanding to take this class. The class content covers all exercises from Reformer I plus builds into advanced content. Modifications given for joint/muscular issues. Class limited to 4.
